This is wonderful....

The Kiss....

He had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the fire.

She is pregnant.

When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper, "The Observer," noticed her in the distance looking at the fireman.

He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was going to do.

As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her babies, and kissed him, just as the photographer snapped this photograph.

Any good ideas?

I've decided that my 4th decade is going to be funfilled and action packed! I want to fill it with good memories to last a lifetime. I want to do things that are....different......I like different. I read a book not so long ago "A short history to nearly everything" by Bill Bryson, he says that we live for only 650,000 hours in an average lifetime, when put like that its quite scary, because that doesn't sound like much does it!!! Eeek i'm more than halfway through! So! I have all kinds of things i'd like to do such as....

A trip to Norway to see the northern lights
Whale watching round the Fjords
Swim with Dolphins
To get out of debt
Get organised.
Create my own abundance
Be an holistic therapist

Grow spiritually

Travel more

Create a successful website
Lose the weight that has been a burden all my life!

Lots more, but i'm sure you the reader gets the picture. Has anyone got any really good ideas for me? I like anything thats bizarre.....shocking.....I like to raise an eyebrow......it stimulates me!

What have you done to create good memories for the future? Let me know i'd really like to hear about it.

Happy Birthday to me...

Well the day has finally arrived...I am now the big 4 0!

This morning I opened one weary eye and then the other, wondered whether I would feel any different now i've joined the 40 brigade but nahhh i'm still me, nothings changed at all. I wish this bad head would disappear though...self inflicted of course...big birthday celebration night out last night and now i'm paying the price. Fit for nothing is what.

Reiki Rocks

Last night I went to my local college to enrol on a Reiki course. I start on September 23rd, I can't wait! I've always had an interest in learning Reiki but could never find where to go learn but now Reiki is becoming so popular the local college has even put it in their prospectus. This form of healing is used all over the UK now, in hospitals, particulary in Hospices and there are lots of holistic therapy shops opening up all the time. I'd like to go down that road myself.

For those who don't know anything about Reiki healing here's a quick rundown....

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a system of Enlightenment and a Hands on Healing art developed in the early 1900's by Mikao Usui in Japan. It is an art that is passed from Master to student. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words - Rei and Ki, meaning Universal Life Force Energy. The term "Reiki" is used to describe both the energy and the Usui system of using it. The original system by Usui was called Usui Reiki Ryoho. There are many variant's of Reiki being practiced these days

Don't knock it till you've tried it, many people are left gobsmacked from the experience, me included! When I first had reiki Healing out of curiosity, I wondered what on earth was going to happen and was even more surprised when the practitioner didn't really seem to be doing anything! She just layed her hands on different parts of my body, standing quietly, eyes closed and I became real drowsy and incredibly relaxed like i've never been before. I left my very first session wobbly legged and feeling "drugged", I was told it's best to keep as relaxed as possible for the rest of the day, didn't need telling twice. Later I found that I was incredibly emotional, weepy even, which was strange as thats not my style, I like to keep my emotions to myself. At the next session I explained about the emotional stuff and the practitioner said that oh yes, this often happens with Reiki and is most certainly not unusual. It is the release of pent up emotions as the Chakras are healed.

I've always been interested in anything spiritual, i'm not a religious person by a long shot but i'm open minded to many of lifes mysteries. You could say i'm a sceptical believer. I once joined a spiritualist church and went to the weekly "development circle" now that was a real eye opener and fantastic....another story to be told another day....I think most wouldn't believe me anyway ha!

New Girl On The Block

Hello people.....

Well I thought i'd give blogging a go, and why the heck not!

I'm going through a bit of an age crisis at the moment. I'll be 40 on Sunday and although i'm looking forward to it, i'm scared at the very same time! I've decided my mental age is 22, thats where my old life ended and a new one began, I became pregnant with my first child and my free and easy days disappeared in a cloud of dust. At 30 I hit another milestone when I realised that life with my (then) husband was drifting from bad to worse. I call it the awakening, I really was not contented at all, eventually me and the husband split a couple more years down the line, we tried to keep it together but that was silly to drag it on as long as we did and wow i've had some fun this past few years I can tell ya!

So here we are now.....the big day approaches.....I wonder if it will feel any different. Can anyone convince me that YES life really does begin? I read an article the other day about a poll that has been published to say that the happiest age of all is 57, do you agree?

I'm not usually this self absorped, honest guv! I suppose its because i'm nearly there!
